Support model for volunteers
Volunteer Lawyers Network (VLN) is the Twin Cities’ clinic-based legal aid model. We coordinate volunteer attorneys at evening and Saturday clinics across family law, expungement, and consumer law.
- Training: Recorded CLE for each clinic type; on-site mentor at every session
- Format: Most engagements are single-session clinics (3-4 hours); some grow into case representation by mutual agreement
- Malpractice: Covered through VLN’s policy during the clinic engagement
