Support model for volunteers

Anishinabe Legal Services serves Native American communities in northern Minnesota, with particular focus on tribal court representation, ICWA matters, and federally-recognized treaty rights.

  • Training: Cultural-competency briefing (90 minutes, trauma-informed) plus practice-area CLE
  • Mentor: Senior tribal-court attorney pairs with volunteer for the duration of the engagement
  • Geography: Reservation-based work; remote work supplemented with in-person tribal-court appearances
